A Man’s Guide to Ayurvedic Anti-Ageing

Forehead lines, rough texture, tired skin. Men’s skin ages too, and a simple two-step Ayurvedic routine does most of the work.

A Man’s Guide to Ayurvedic Anti-Ageing

Men's skincare in India has long stopped at soap and a quick shave, and the ageing shows up on schedule: the deep forehead lines, the rough texture from years of sun and pollution, the loss of firmness that creeps in through the thirties. The good news is the same as it is for everyone, that a short, consistent routine started early does most of the work. You do not need a shelf of products.

Why men's skin ages the way it does

Men's skin tends to run thicker and oilier, and most men spend more unshaded time outdoors, which is the biggest driver of texture damage and lines in this climate. Add the daily friction of shaving and a general habit of doing nothing to protect or nourish the skin, and the result is skin that looks older and rougher than it needs to. Starting some care in the thirties heads off a lot of the deeper damage.

A two-step routine that fits a real morning

Keep it to two steps. At night, two or three drops of HerbOcean Soundarya Tailam, massaged in and left overnight. With saffron, Manjistha, red sandalwood and Mulethi (licorice) in a sesame base, it supports firmer, more even, better-hydrated skin. In the morning, a layer of the lightweight Soundarya Cream, which is non-sticky and doubles as a calming post-shave moisturiser.

The detail men most often skip

Sun protection. If you ride or walk to work, sunscreen and, where you can, a cap do more for your skin's future than any cream. And the oil after the razor is doing real work, soothing freshly shaved skin so it ages and marks less. Small changes, compounding quietly over years.

What to expect

This is gentle, herbal care, not a procedure. It supports the look of firmness and evens tone over a few weeks and months; it does not turn back the clock, and it works without harsh actives or steroids, which is part of the appeal for skin that reacts to strong products.
