Ayurvedic Hair Care
In Ayurveda, hair — Kesha — is nourished from the scalp and the roots, not the lengths. Classical hair care centres on the Taila (medicated oil) and the unhurried ritual of abhyanga (oil massage), traditionally used to support the scalp against dryness and seasonal hair fall (Khalitya).
Our hair care is a slow, sixteen-herb sesame Taila built around Bhringraj, Brahmi and Amla — no mineral oil, no added fragrance load — formulated in-house in Delhi. It is traditionally used to support a healthy scalp and ease everyday hair fall; for medical hair loss (sudden, patchy or rapid shedding), please see a dermatologist.
Frequently asked
How often should I oil my hair?
Two to three sessions a week with a proper scalp massage suit most people; once weekly to maintain. Warm the oil, work it into the scalp, rest, then cleanse.
Ayurvedic oil or a “chemical” hair oil — which is better?
They do different jobs: classical Tailas focus on the scalp and roots over time; silicone-based oils add instant surface shine. We describe how each works and let you decide.
Does oiling actually help with hair fall?
Regular oiling supports the scalp environment and is most useful where shedding is linked to dryness, stress or irritation. Sudden or patchy loss should be seen by a dermatologist.
